More reflection showing what progress has been made through the group. This showed an overall growth with all the teachers and personally I feel a positive change in my practice.
I am looking forward to moving forward using the things I have learnt.

Exam
This was the stress. 3 hours showing what I have learnt over the last term. It began with multi choice. Marked by a computer, no wriggle room. 80% to pass.It was a huge relief to get the fireworks and a 'you passed' notification. Happily the whole cohort succeeded showing the wonderful support that the term and Mark have provided.

After the exam

Congratulations on making it through nine weeks of DFI and emerging with ideas and impetus for your own teaching and learners. Also congrats for passing the exam. I am sorry it loomed so large and... I think you used the word fearful in another post.
ReplyDeleteDo you have suggestions as to how we could reduce this level of threat- esp now you have done it?
All the best and stay in touch
Dorothy
Thank you Dorothy for the opportunities to grow as an educator DFI have provided me. Perhaps I was a little glib dropping the fearful word as I was confident and looking forward to the challenge of the test. I think it is a general fear of failure and the emphasis put on the exam was probably of my own volition. The programme presented to us benefitted me for the whole 9 weeks. I have come to term 3 excited and challenged in ways to engage the children and increase the output of quality blogs. Maybe a next steps course to push the leadership element would be good.

Hello Nick,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your blog with me, much appreciated. It is interesting to see your final comments as I begin the same journey you undertook in Term 2.
I've really enjoyed the course so far and have taken on challenging myself as much as I can, to make the most the next 7 weeks. What app did you use to create that final picture of yourself?
I'm interested in the graphs you posted, struggle to read them though, if you could put a link on them it would be useful. Looking forward to reading your blog as you continue on your teaching journey.
